Generator tiers
Build a normal water and lava generator. The island upgrade changes some generated stone into ore. Each tier adds an ore without taking away the ones you already unlocked.
| Tier | New ore | Chance of the new ore |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Coal | 8% |
| 2 | Copper | 6% |
| 3 | Iron | 5% |
| 4 | Redstone | 3% |
| 5 | Lapis | 2.5% |
| 6 | Gold | 2.5% |
| 7 | Emerald | 0.8% |
| 8 | Diamond | 0.5% |
These are the base chances when that ore first unlocks. Earlier ores can become more common at later tiers. Generator Fortune has three tiers; each adds 15% to the ore chances, rather than 15 percentage points.
Biome generators
Paint a chunk with a biome using the Biome Stick, then build your generator over that biome's block. The block right under the spot where the stone forms decides it, the way vanilla basalt only forms over soul soil. Over any other block it stays an ordinary generator. Your generator tiers unlock each biome's ores just as they do the usual ones.
| Biome | Build over | It makes | Ores |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nether Wastes | Magma block | Netherrack; blackstone where lava pours onto flowing water | Nether quartz and nether gold, then ancient debris at tiers 7 and 8 |
| Crimson and Warped Forest | Magma block | As the Nether Wastes, and now and then nylium (mine it with Silk Touch) | As the Nether Wastes |
| Soul Sand Valley | Soul sand | Soul soil; basalt where lava pours onto flowing water | Nether quartz, nether gold, bone blocks and ancient debris |
| Deep Dark | Sculk or a sculk catalyst | Cobbled deepslate; deepslate where lava pours onto flowing water | Deepslate ores, with diamonds in place of emeralds |
| Badlands | Clay | Terracotta in the badlands' colours | The usual ores, with more gold in place of emeralds |
| Desert | Sand | Sandstone; smooth sandstone where lava pours onto flowing water | The usual ores |
| End Highlands | Purpur | End stone | Obsidian: the End has no ores |
In the game, open Island upgrades and choose Biome generators to see every recipe with the ore chances at your tier. Each is worth about the same per block as an ordinary generator; you pick one for what it makes.
Keep water sources off magma blocks and soul sand. Over them a source turns into a bubble column, which lava cannot flow into, so feed the generator with flowing water instead.
Crops and room to build
Farmland Hydration brings tilled soil to its maximum moisture. It does not turn ordinary dirt into farmland. Existing fields are checked in batches, so a large farm may take a little time to catch up.
Crop Growth makes everything you farm grow 50% faster per tier, up to three and a half times as fast at tier 5. It covers crops, sugar cane, cactus, pumpkins, melons, bamboo, kelp and berries. Island Size adds ten blocks to the build radius per tier, with five tiers available.
Upgrades for a shared island
| Upgrade | Tiers | What it improves |
|---|---|---|
| Minion slots | 3 | Two more slots per tier. |
| Collector throughput | 5 | 25% more throughput per tier. |
| Collector storage | 4 | Extra storage capacity for machines. |
| Spawner output | 5 | 25% more stacked mob output per tier. |
| Furnace draft | 3 | Faster smelting. |
Island upgrades belong to the island. Personal skill ranks and individual minion upgrades do not. Check the next price in the upgrade menu: later tiers cost more coins and Shards.
